About me:

I earn my living as a "webmaster". I am employed by the National Youth Council of Ireland running youth.ie, youtharts.ie and other websites.

I love tea (Lyons Gold Blend), best made with filtered freshly boiled water!.My most prized possession is my set of Sennheiser headphones, where, late at night, I listen to everything from Arvo Part to Radiohead to the Fun Boy 3.

I like nothing better than to take a long afternoon walk in Wicklow, either in the hills, or by the sea. I eat at he Happy Pear in Greystones whenever I can. Rashers are my guilty pleasure - I'm pretty sure pigs are sensitive creatures.

A graduate of Politics, I would describe myself as a cosmopolitan social democrat.

I was raised in a very religious family. Now I am not sure what to believe. In recent years I have been exploring Buddhism, and trying to reconcile spiritual practice with agnosticism. (See the work of Stephen Batchelor). I'm interested in the developmental work of Ken Wilber, and enjoy reading Martha Nussbaum.
I read the odd bit of fiction John McGahern, Pat Barker, Joyce, etc, and like the poetry of Shelley, MacNeice, Owen etc.

Sporting Achievements

I'm good at air hockey, connect 4, and three-and-in :-)
